I am

I am determined.
I will fulfill my dreams, pursue my inner ambitions, complete my personal missions, and reach my goals.
I will not slack off or become careless.
I learned to always attempt to do my personal best regardless of life's sometimes discouraging situations.

I dream to grow up to be an open-minded individual.
I can believe in myself.
I can't approach situations with negativity if I wish to live a proud, joyful life.
I hope to always view life with a positive attitude.
  I am determined

I know that, in order to succeed, it is necessary for me to avoid giving up.
I understand that perseverance is a true value.
I don't know many other qualities required for life that I hope to learn soon.
I learned to continue to steadily try extremely hard to gain knowledge and make the most of it.
I forgot to do so a few times this year, unfortunately, but learned from my mistakes.
I am determined.

The new Mandela notes

After the distribution of Mandela notes, one wonders if it was really necessary to change them. The big five has always been something unique in S.A.
Not to say we don’t appreciate what Madiba did for the country but do we really have to change our culture to accommodate him. There are already a lot of things that’s named after him, Mandela Square, Mandela Street just to name a few.
Let’s not change history I believe its what made us different from other nations

Time wasted

Sit on the couch, grab a bag of chips and chill. Click to chanel 1 or 147. Catch a glipmse of "the real housewives of manhattan".. Click.. Oh look it's Kim and Kanye... Click... Crime channel. Thought "how do these women kill their own kids, and damn, how do these forensic experts get it right?".... Click ... " Oh look, it's Kim and Kortney"...Click.. Mxim "Government channels" skip... Click... Okay Nikita will do.... And with each hour, time withers away, you gain a few kilos and your C.V is still empty and kasi life is all your future holds... Get up..

The sound of one hand clapping

I wouldn't have made it this far without a support system. I am more than 1000km away from home  I had many acquaintances, but with no real family values.I wanted to surround myself with people with the same mindset and ambition but its a pity I was caught in fun and games.

I have grown into a mature, focused young woman through the love I have received from my friends and new found love. These people believe in me without a doubt, they sparked the light inside me. I believe God puts people in your path to help you get through life challenges. He does not tell you who they are, but you need to appreciate these people and realise this is help from God.

As a person, you must surround yourself with positive people. When you have this, you can achieve anything in life. When you have a strong support system, you become stronger as well and you can conquer your fears. My success has come from people helping me and me also helping others.  Life is about sharing with others and through that you become blessed.

Andy Warhol said,"In the future everybody will be world famous for 15 minutes. You cant choose the 15 minutes but why would you be world famous

I've always thought about and wondered what that might be like-millions screaming your name, traveling the world, tons of money... I think that would be fun for days... I want a life like that.

I would be famous for being a supermodel/ actress/humanitarian/singer *ahem*/socialite. i would go to these high profile events and rub shoulders with Basetsana Khumalo and Khanyi Dlomo, who would be my bestie, Edith Venter, who would be like my gorgeous mother, Jeanie D will be my BFF and Somizi will be my GBF and being invited to Prince William and Kate's christening of their first child- move over Beckhams!

The only problem with being a supermodel is that I have gained some weight and I am not getting any younger. my best bet at being famous is to be an actress. I love me ome DRAMAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO BE FAMOUS. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!! *diva laugh*

Zion by Laury Hill

Lauryn Hill is one of my favorite artists. Its seems relevant for me to post the lyrics of one of my favorite songs titled Zion. I am dedicating this song to my future son.

Unsure of what the balance held
I touched my belly overwhelmed
By what I had been chosen to perform
But then an angel came one day
Told me to kneel down and pray
For unto me a man child would be born
Woe this crazy circumstance
I knew his life deserved a chance
But everybody told me to be smart
Look at your career they said,
"Lauryn, baby use your head"
But instead I chose to use my heart

Now the joy of my world is in Zion
Now the joy of my world is in Zion

How beautiful if nothing more
Than to wait at Zion's door
I've never been in love like this before
Now let me pray to keep you from
The perils that will surely come
See life for you my prince has just begun
And I thank you for choosing me
To come through unto life to be
A beautiful reflection of his grace
For I know that a gift so great
Is only one God could create
And I'm reminded every time I see your face

That the joy of my world is in Zion
Now the joy of my world is in Zion
Now the joy of my world is in Zion
Now the joy of my world is in Zion

Marching, marching, marching to Zion
Marching, marching
Marching, marching, marching to Zion
Beautiful, beautiful Zion

"Rock journalism is people who can't write interviewing people who can't talk for people who can't read" (Frank Zappa)

I guess that when Zappa said that it was a critique of how people don’t look outside the box and the miss communication because of it. The information that the interviewee gives won’t find the reader as the meaning is distorted on the way.

The people that can’t talk, the artists, can express themselves but not necessarily in ways that other will understand. The way their minds assimilate things and how they express it verbally in a conversation can differ.

Then the people that can’t write understand it their own way, and need to write for people that can’t read. People who can’t read means that people will interpret the written article differently from what the people who can’t write wrote.

There will be 3 versions of the same conversation, almost like a broken telephone. Therefore Rock journalism is people who can’t write interviewing people who can’t talk for people who can’t read.
